Hello, hello! How is everyone's weekend going so far? So I feel like every weekend I go out on adventures and I don't always share them enough. This weekend, I ventured in to London (yet again) and strolled the back streets to check out some hidden gems...
The Grant Museum of Zoology located close to Euston Station is a lesser known museum which features thousands of specimens from covering the whole Animal Kingdom. I found out about it a year or so ago and finally got round to visiting and better yet it's free admission! I've featured some of the more tame photos as this museum may not be for the faint hearted or vegans as...there's a lot of dead animals and dissections but it is all very interesting.
The Grant is not an all day attraction, more a good 45 minutes but it's worth a visit all the same. I loved all the animals though I had to tell myself they all died of natural causes (they probably didn't though). We then ventured through the quiet back streets (which was eery for a saturday to see no one around) and it made a nice change. We took a short walk from Euston through to Oxford Circus for a spot of shopping and lunch at The Diner where we spotted Scroobius Pip eating just a few feet from us! I picked up some bits (as usual) before we walked back to Waterloo and got the train home. A simple but lovely weekend.
And as usual, I bought far too much stuff in Topshop and Forbidden Planet, the usual places! And yes, that was an actual jar of moles and a real Banksy. What did you get up to this weekend? Let me know what excitements you got up to below. It feels like this weekend has already gone by too fast - let's hope Sunday is a long one.
Until next time,
That museum looks really interesting but a little creepy at the same time but I would still like to visit :)

ReplyDeleteOne thing I love about London is that, just when you think you've seen everything or go everywhere, there's always somewhere you haven't. I'm going to have to check out that museum next weekend, it looks really interesting!
